Ching Nam Hong Restaurant
With no relatives here and many of our friends are overseas, we were out on the streets since the 2nd day of CNY. Drove around looking for food, only to find many chinese restaurants still closed for the CNY. Finally chanced upon Ching Nam Hong Restaurant near Gadong Centre, they were open even on the 1st and 2nd day of CNY from early morning till 2pm. We made it just about an hour before 2pm. So we count ourselves lucky to still be able to enjoy some Chinese dishes, it’s after all CNY.
Ching Nam Hong Restaurant is a no frill neighbourhood style coffeeshop with a good variety on their menu. It’s not a place with great ambiance to host some VIP dinner, but it’s definitely a great place if you want to have some quick quality chinese meal.
They are famous for their Chicken Wine Mee Sua (鸡酒面线), Curry Puff and Char Siew Puff. The food here are general good. Ordered a simple fresh pork bee hoon this time round, and it was as good as always. Real satisfying considering i’m a picky chinese cuisine lover 🙂
